Hello, friends! We're Simon & Rebekah Villeneuve.

Individually, Simon's a creative professional and Rebekah's a mama to our two kiddos. Together, we're on a mission to inspire better health for your whole family. And we believe that better health starts with better food.

Our journey to real food started a number of years ago when Simon was having lifestyle-altering digestive issues. It was not easily solvable, and after many tests, including an endoscopy and multiple emergency room visits, good ‘ol healthcare tacked it up as irritated bowel syndrome.

We knew that there was more to the equation and that we could probably solve this issue if we simply started eating better. We spent a few years trying to find a real food diet that would work for us. We tried a number of popular diets including vegetarian, raw, and paleo. Our experience showed us that choosing the right real food diet for your own body can be difficult. Some diets seemed so similar it was hard to tell the difference! While others seemed to say the exact opposite as another.

That’s why we created Real Food Diets. It's got all the right information in one place, making it easy for you to compare diets and decide which is right for you. Plus, fantastic recipes and resources to get you started.

Eating clean is complicated. Lifestyles vary, bodies are different, and it can be confusing knowing which diet is right for you. Additionally, different diets may be needed during different seasons of life such as Raw for detoxification or Paleo for fertility, but we’ve found systems that make it easy. Real Food Diets is a way to share those smart systems with you.

Real food is a journey and you will learn by eating. Count this year as a commitment to trying, exploring, and not giving up. We are passionate about real food, and we want you to be too.

I’m a writer, photographer, caterer, food blogger, and creator of real food recipes at All of my recipes adhere to a Paleo lifestyle and allow you to reap all the benefits “real food” has to offer without forfeiting taste. I believe in ingesting and digesting the real foods our bodies were meant to process, so we can achieve optimal performance at all levels. I enjoy coming up with new recipes and serving them up to my friends and family. Cooking has always been my hobby and my passion, but Paleo is my way of life.


Emma Carter

My name is Emma and I started my blog, The Nourshed Coeliac, this year to share my experience of being diagnosed with coeliac disease (also known as celiac). Since my diagnosis in 2013, I have modified and amended my diet to support healing my digestion and to eliminate a lifetime of symptoms. The most successful dietary changes I have made have been embarking on a low FODMAP diet to eradicate digestive distress, and following the autoimmune protocol to put autoimmune symptoms in remission. The difference my diet has made has been life changing to say the least, and I hope to share my experiences with you as you embark upon your own healing journey.

Jaclyn Harwell

When Jaclyn became a mom, health food wasn't a priority, but when her oldest son developed behavioral problems, she dove in to begin learning about living and eating naturally. Now, her children have been healed of eczema and digestive problems and her own thyroid disorder has been healed. Her son’s behavior continues to improve as he heals through diet! Jaclyn focuses on GAPS diet and Paleo foods with an emphasis on nourishing and healing foods like broth and homemade sauerkraut.


Anna Lewin

Following a low-FODMAP lifestyle has dramatically reduced my IBS symptoms (much happier tum!). I'm all about easy everyday (but tasty!) recipes (life is already complicated enough, after all). I've enjoyed blogging about my low-FODMAP experiences from the beginning and I'm always learning - it's made me completely rethink food and the importance of eating as 'clean' as possible (ingredient labels are a FODMAPers nightmare!).

Jenna is a recipe developer with a passion for whole food and plant based cooking. She shares her love of creating wholesome dishes on her website and throughout social media. Hi! I am Carley, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) and Certified GAPS Practitioner (CGP).
