My favorite drink at the local juice bar is called Roots Remedy. It’s a lovely juice made of beets, apple, lemon, and ginger. I enjoy the way that it’s both refreshing and warming at the same time. The bright pink color the juice takes on from the beets is sensationally satisfying. If I close my eyes now, I can just see myself: the sun shining, a nice walk along the river, with a beet juice in hand.
Rutabaga fries are my absolute favorite kind of fry! Not only are they GAPS Diet friendly, but rutabagas are high in vitamin C, zinc, potassium, and support digestive health as they are high in fiber and also stimulate bile production.
